All about the skin’s barrier
When skin is in a state of stress, the protective barrier plays a vital role in reducing its reactivity. A weakened skin barrier is prone to trans-epidermal water-loss, which means that the skin is not able to retain water that helps transport vital nutrients. Visible dryness, redness and roughness are all signs that skin’s protective barrier may be vulnerable and not functioning properly. When left unaddressed, these precursors can lead to visible signs of skin-ageing. With the COMFORTING BARRIER ESSENCE, SENSAI focuses on the concerns of dryness, redness and roughness.
Keratin Moisture Blooming Technology
Keratin is an assembly of fibrous proteins, that support skin hydration. Exposure to daily external stressors can cause the skin’s keratin fibres to become rigid and tough, losing their capacity to attract and retain moisture. How to Apply
Enhance your Saho Double Moisturising routine with SENSAI’s 'Barrier Care' approach by adding the COMFORTING BARRIER ESSENCE to your daily skincare ritual, both mornings and evenings.
Start with a freshly cleansed face following the Step 2 cleanser, both in the morning and at night.
Then, apply your preferred hydrating Step 1 lotion to optimise absorption of the following essence.
Next, take 2 to 3 pumps of the COMFORTING BARRIER ESSENCE and spread it over the entire surface of your hands before applying it gently over the entire face, from the centre outwards.
Finish your routine by applying your preferred Step 2 moisturiser, to nourish and lock in moisture.
Expert tip
For skin that needs additional nurturing, apply the complementing COMFORTING BARRIER MASK after your Step 2 moisturiser as a final step to calm and strengthen the skin’s barrier.
